i cant drive it til monday coz dad's gonna take me to get insurance.. THAT should be a horrendeous experience seeing as i JUST got my license so i'll be a rating 5 driver and the monthly price will be very very high.. but still.. i can drive! i have a car! two things i did not have only a week ago!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH im SO excited!!!!! no more relying on others constantly to take me here and there and i can finally just pick up the phone and tell my bestie to get her ass to dinner and i'll meet her there instead of worrying about transport.. gosh... and all with my own money. so proud of myself. *pet on the back* i made my own dream come true, can't tell you how happy that makes me feel :)

in other news... MY SISTER SUBMITTED HER THESIS YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! SO PROUDO F HER!!!!! :D so now my eldest sister Samar has her phd and my middle sister Farah has her honours! which makes for a PERFECTLY linear smart-ness in the house

My God.. I'm so shocking at the journal-writing thing! What did I used to blab on about?!!! I'm sposed to be more fun now! I'm older, wiser, bitchier! Damn you life.

What did I do today? I BOUGHT A PUPPY!!! No, I didn't, but I want to. I owe Rossa (elfrider puppies because she's the light of my life. Did I mention how much I heart her? Well I do. More than puppies and cupcakes and the word pinky. Coz you know the word pinky is cuter than a wibble and even a dimple!

Ok so I'll leave you with a useless fact:
I am the Queen of Bugs. No joke. Since I've been old enough to notice, bugs sacrifice themselves on my food and in my drinks. The other day I was heating up milk and out of nowhere a mosquito plopped in the frothing milk just as I was about to take it off the stove. Sadly, I hate anything that crawls or buzzes so there couldn't be a less horrifying title to give me. Maybe Rat Lady or Possum Girl.

Also: it's Friday night. What the fuck am I doing home?!! Oh right, I'M BROKE. *grumble* damn you, super hot car!

Me, I would love for someone to hit me over the head with a REALLY sharp REALLY shiny object until I magically bleed some creativity. I've been writing a story for the last two weeks and it refuses to talk to me. GAH. Writer's block, how I loathe you!!

2) I'm with Am on this one: What a year to graduate! Economic crisis and all. If IBM don't keep me on, I'll probably go into a frenzy. I'm actually contemplating a future in the Gulf (Qatar? Dubai? As much as I loved Saudi as a kid, as a woman it would be terrible). Pays damn fucking well and the Gulf area has not been so heavily hit by the crisis, so it's in a relatively more stable condition. Although my first preference will always be Melbourne - God I love this city!!!!!!! Anyone who's been lucky enough to live or visit should know what I mean. It's home like Lebanon could never be again. :)

3) I'm sleepy and tired and bored at work. Can't wait to have a nice quiet afterwork drink with my beautiful bestie, Kulani.

4) In the world of astrology, they predicted it to be the decade or era or something of the intellectuals. First Rudd, now Obama. Very interested to see how it all unfolds.

hello my name is reem and im a facebook-aholic. im 20 years old, going on 2. im working at IBM australia as a Marketing co-ordinator. I'm in my final week of university. I still dont have my driving license. I'm going to buy a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer (blue or black not sure) in the next month, God willing. I am approximately short as all hell, and shake it like shakira.

i actually SHOULD be studying my notes for my final exam ever but instead im facebook-ing and LJ-ing and msn-ing and every other procrastination possible!!!

i turn 20 in nine days.. not too sure how to feel about that! i used to mock my sister all the time doing the whole "two decades all HAHA you old fart" and now tag i'm it.

20??? i don't feel twenty! twenty year olds are adults. they act sit talk laugh and walk a certain way and me just saying that means i'm definitely nowhere near that. it doesn't help that i look eternally 18!! :P

also, last year of uni this year.. i'll be a graduate in december. no more skipping class to hang out at mutant's way or corner cafe.. no more falling asleep at lecture and doodling the silliest things all over the lecture notes that will endlessly amuse me when it comes to revision time.. and no more whining about uni when really almost all the unforgettable memories and friendships have stemmed from there :(

i do so hate growing up. i know i don't feel 20, but i feel old and battered about leaving uni. it really got to be my home.
